The project covers inpatient medical and nursing care for Kala Azar, HIV, TB and acute medical emergencies in the ICU, as well as an Inpatient Therapeutic Feeding Centre (ITFC), Outreach Services for migrant workers and resettlement sites and a medical follow-up clinic for treatment of HIV patients. System assessment and information mapping exercise to assess the supply chains through which commodities used within the Access to Paromomycin Program for Visceral Leishmaniasis will flow in India. Contribute to the design of the logistics system for parmomycin and provide input on procedures and training materials. Contributed in design and development of logistics chain supply system for paromomycin and its supplies and Infection Management and Environment Plan in Bihar. Conducted surveys and interviews, with the JSI team at Main, Satellite and Potential Outreach Centre and assessed each of these facilities regarding the health commodity logistics system that manages the drug Paromomycin.

Planning and implementation of Japanese Encephalitis vaccination in the endemic districts of India. Map the JE disease and estimate disease burden in endemic districts of India. Advocacy meetings at all levels for the implementation of Japanese Encephalitis immunization with SA-14-14-2 Hamspter Kidney cell derived live attenuated vaccine. Technical support in introduction and planning for mass immunization with the new Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccine SA-14-14-2 in India. Worked closely with the PEN (Polio Eradication Network) team in India in mapping of Japanese Encephalitis disease and explored the various opportunities of collaboration with State and National Governments in JE control initiatives Developed strategy for post JE vaccination Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) surveillance in Assam and these guidelines were adopted by the MoHFW, GoI for all vaccination AEFIs.  Designing of “Expert AEFI Committee” at districts and has been adopted by GoI. Conducted advocacy meetings and workshops through the State Governments with Student Bodies, Electronic and Print Media, Civil Society Bodies, Panchayti Raj Institutions, Community leaders, Defence Hospitals, Assam Branch of Indian Tea Association (ABITA), Assam Tea Growers worker Labour Unions and at district level with Medical College, Health and General administration to tackle the low coverage following AEFI reports in the media. Teaming of the Medical College professionals, State Health and General Administration for media briefing pre and post JE-Vaccination in India.

Provide training, motivation, technical and logistic assistance to government counterparts (including District Immunization Officers and State EPI Officers) as required to promote polio eradication initiatives (PEI), e.g. timely reporting, investigation, follow and response to Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) surveillance and supplementary immunization campaigns of NPSP-India, according to guidelines and procedures provided by the NPSP and the Government of India. Conducted Extended Outbreak Response Immunization (E-ORI) to wipe out the last traces of “Polio Virus” transmission from Gumla, Lohardagga and Simdega districts of Jharkhand. Investigated, Line listed, reported and followed up all patients with Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) in Ranchi, Gumla, Lohardagga and Simdega districts of Jharkhand Provided technical guidance in Polio Eradication Initiatives (PEI) in the above 4 districts of Jharkhand and made it polio free.  Monitored quality of AFP surveillance in the districts as per WHO indicators. Planned, implementation and monitoring of National Immunization Days (NID) with the district program managers
