The Sikh Resource Society (SRS) and its volunteers engage with the community and High School and University religion courses as well as social studies courses and fills a gap in the education of the Sikh way of life in these courses. SRS also focuses on community engagement with Gurdwara (Sikh place of prayer) tours and turban tying events. The goal is to educate the world about the 5th largest way of life that many know very little about.

The American Sikh Council (ASC) is the umbrella organization representative of Sikhs in the United States. It is the representative and elected body of Sikh Gurdwaras (Sikh places of prayer) and institutions that meet its criteria for membership. The major governing purpose of the organization is to represent the collective view of all Sikhs in the United States. ASC works to promote Sikh interests at the national and international level focusing on issues of advocacy, education, and well-being of humankind.
