About Daniel Lavender
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a wealth of diverse experience in a multitude of clinical contexts.I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Prior to attending graduate school, I studied abroad and later worked in Aichi Prefecture in Japan to immerse myself in a culture starkly different from my own upbringing in the eastern United States. Since becoming a social worker, I have worked in several hospital environments, private practices, school and college settings, out in the field, and in the community to garner distinct experiences that have informed my own personal development, and in turn, my maturation into a clinical social worker.During my tenure in the profession, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients of varying ages and with unique presenting concerns. My compassionate approach allows me to quickly establish rapport when working with clients to manage their mental health concerns, unpack their trauma, and illuminate their innate strengths. My therapeutic practice is informed by several treatment modalities, including CBT and ACT, and I am always seeking new learning and advanced training to become the best version of myself in service to my clients. I am honored to work with clients of differing ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds. I strongly pride myself on working with clients who identify within the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to meet all of my clients where they are and to join with them in their journey towards living happier & healthier lives.
