About David Somers

As Chief Product Officer at Workday, I’m responsible for leading product development and strategy across Workday’s product portfolio. We are focused on building one connected platform for HCM and finance that helps organizations transform their two most important assets–their people and their money–all with AI at the core.I believe that great talent and incredible ideas can come from anywhere: from our teams, our partners, and our customers, and I am passionate about fostering an entrepreneurial environment of continuous learning and innovation.Previously, I served as group general manager of product for the office of the CHRO, setting the vision and development for our Human Capital Management suite of products. I joined Workday in 2018 through the acquisition of Rallyteam, where I was Co-founder and CEO. Prior to Rallyteam, I served as VP, Global Alliances and Strategic Initiatives for Cornerstone OnDemand, and previously held positions at Replicon, Ariba, The Walt Disney Company and PwC.In my personal life, I am an outdoor enthusiast, avid road cyclist and proud Girl Dad.
