Current• Prepare public notices, agendas, packets, synopses, and minutes for the Township Board, following the Open Meetings Act and Robert’s Rule of Order. Responsible for preparing Ordinances and Resolutions to go before the Township Board, frequently working with legal representation and department heads.• Assist with research regarding election law and municipal management and organization. Responsible for the facilitation of elections; work with community partners to set up voting locations to comply with state law; equip precincts with the supplies to execute a successful election; create internal and external precinct maps for each facility. Coordinate the staffing of election workers and providing training on the processes, procedures, and laws of elections.• Accept and review applications for licenses and permits, process applicant fees and cash bonds, and prepare documents for approval for the Police Department, Fire Department, and Township Board.• Responsible for carrying out internal and external communication from the Clerk’s office; creating digital material through Canva and Adobe; monitor audience engagement on various communication platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Mailchimp, and CivicPlus.• Provide support to various State and Local government bodies and representatives for different initiatives.• Assist with scheduling passport appointments and actively reviewing each application and ensuring that all applications are delivered for processing. • Offer exceptional customer service to residents via phone, email, and in-person.
