Service Design/catalog team developing standards, standards documents, and technical bulletins supporting various platforms and technologies. I do handoffs of these documents to product design and implementation teams. This may require some hand holding through Maintenance windows to insure seamless implementation and insure risk mitigation techniques are followed. My focus has been on the Backbone and Core networks. iBGP and eBGP policies facing the core and Settlement Free Peering and Transit. Full configuration standards for both Cisco and Juniper platforms including IGP configuration for OSPF, OPSFv3, ISIS, and multicast. I also led the ARBOR DDOS scrubbing configuration and implementation standards for operations.

•Sustaining engineering for Charter's National Backbone including Peering / Transit provider coordination, eBGP and iBGP, traffic management , network migrations, implementations, Vendor management, upgrades, budgeting, collocation management and capacity augmentations. Continuous mentoring of operations personal to support peering, transit turn ups, capacity augments and carrier management. • As an Engineer with the Architect Team was major contributor responsible for initial design of ISIS, BGP standards for new build out National Backbone including migration plans to migrate from legacy routing protocols and design to the new standards.• Lead Field Engineer leading teams for NBB collocation facilities ( Equinix, Telx, Coresite, Cologix ) including power, rack space, elevation drawings, x-connects, circuit ordering, peering coordination and physical installation of Cisco CRS, ASR 9k, 7600’s, 2950, and OOB Raritan / Cyclades, wiring and all related cable management. • As an Engineer with the Architect team I was one of the lead engineers responsible for POC LAB testing Cell Backhaul Solutions and the eventual certification of the Alcatel 7705, 7210, and 7750 into the production network.

I was hired into this role to develop standards for the new Charter backbone for igp ISIS, iBGP, and eBGP peering infrastructure. Focus was A to Z for all platforms and related protocols. Every aspect of the implementation was to be documented for this completely new build from IBX elevation drawings to BGP standards documentation. We had to cover it all for implementation and post implementation support.
