Doug Ritter is the founder and Chairman of Knife Rights, America’s Grassroots Knife Owners Organization that is Rewriting Knife Law in America™. He founded Knife Rights in 2006 to resist efforts to restrict ownership and carry of our most fundamental tool, to prevent further erosion of knife owners’ and to forge a Sharper Future™ for all Americans. As of 02/2016 Knife Rights has passed 20 pro-knife bills in 15 states and defeated over a dozen anti-knife bills. Knife Rights is also spearheading a Federal Civil Rights lawsuit against New York City and New York County District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. over their prosecution of over 60,000 knife owners carrying common folding knives. Doug Ritter is one of the leading authorities on survival equipment and is the founder and Chairman of the Equipped To Survive Foundation (www.Equipped.org/Foundation) and is the Publisher and Editor of Equipped To Survive™ (www.Equipped.org). Doug is an award-winning journalist specializing in aviation and survival topics and gives presentations and seminars on survival and survival equipment.
