CurrentI lead projects from concept to delivery of solutions for Tier-1 end-customers and partners focused on market transformations in the use of advanced HW and SW technologies for grid operations, renewable energy systems operations, oil and gas production operations.Success is when we have matured and hardened these transformative solutions so they can be adopted at-scale in the challenging energy sector. Ongoing Programs Include :- Universal Wellpad Controller (UWC)- Edge Insights for Industrial- Virtualization and Centralization of Protection and Control systems (VPR)- Advanced infrastructure (HW and SW) for secondary substation automation and control (SSP) I manage engagements with more than 1 dozen key partner relationships at any time which span the industry -- end-users, Intel Si customers, software companies, cloud service providers, and system integrators. Many relationships are multi-year and some have lasted 10+ years.Utilize multiple approaches including internal hardware and software development, pilots with end-users, co-development with partner companies, IP licensing, open source development, leadership in standards bodies and industry consortia.Knowledge and Skills put into practice:I use my expertise in managing internal and contracted engineering teams in both HW and SW.Knowledge of renewable energy systems (physics and technology), Grid technologies.Architecture of computing systems to achieve real-time performance, cybersecurity, scalability, and manageability.Understanding of the market dynamics, current business and motivations of partners, and our business strategy.Understanding of ecosystem development options and practices including open source development, standards participation, and private collaborationsUnderstanding of how to create and execute contracts between companies to achieve shared objectives.Experience documenting usages and detailed requirements for planning and execution.
