In 2018 I moved to the United Kingdom to lead Handshake's international expansion. Today, I'm focused on building an amazing team, growing our university partnerships, and democratizing opportunity across the UK and Europe. Work Included: - Working with senior leadership to create Handshake's international expansion strategy- PMing work required to internationalize Handshake- Owning the entire business development process with our first 18 university partners, and several early employer partners.- Hiring, onboarding, and managing the early team in the region- Running (and eventually supporting) marketing efforts in the region.

In this role I focused on growing the university sales team while continuing to work with the top universities in the US.

As the Handshake team grew my focus narrowed to growing the number of universities that we partnered with. In 2014 we started with 5 university partners and by the end of 2018 we partnered with over 700 universities making Handshake the fastest growing company in the education technology space.

I joined Handshake in August 2014 just a few months after the founding team signed our first university partners. In typical startup fashion I was doing sales, success, product, training, and marketing. As the team grew we made the move from Houghton Michigan to Palo Alto.

Working with deployments to ensure their success with a focus on understanding customer problems and identifying the best solution. Use Palantir Technologies to help analysts solve the world's hardest problems.

As a part of the team working in the Student Activities department at Michigan Technological University I am in charge of planing events like Homecoming 2012, Spring Fling, and more. Recently I have been working to redefine the use of social media in marketing the events and opportunities sponsored by Student Activities. I led the initiative to incorporate Facebook interactions into the Homecoming scoring structure. This effort led to the most viral Homecoming we've ever had, increased event attendance, and more interaction with the Student Activities Brand.I have also had an opportunity to practice my public speaking. I am the primary MC for events put on by the Student Union and Student Activities. I have also had the opportunity to lead several HuskyLead presentations, and campus wide keynotes.

Working in a security sensitive area, I developed software to assist the management of the electric and gas infrastructure in the Midwest. Specifically my focus was on developing a schedule management system (SAM) which would integrate with existing software to run tests and gather data on the utility network. SAM used the Windows Presentation Format with a Microsoft’s sequel back-end. I was the one of two developers working on the overhaul, and led the introduction of new features and ways of interacting with the data.I was required to self-teach Visual Basic, the Windows Presentation Format, and data interaction procedures while learning the style guidelines of the department. Even with little experience in these areas by the end of the four months the SAM software was in final testing and preparing to ship.

As the Audio Producer for the Great Lakes Loons I was in charge of producing the audio for a show that has been recognized as one of the best in minor league sports. I was in charge of pre-game music, in-game audio effects, setting up for bands, and more. I also worked at several special events including weddings and expos.At the Loons I learned the importance of a quality production in making an experience truly great.
