The change from Maca to Adaman was a natural transition, it allowed a seamless changeover for the business with nil interruption to processing.At Adaman we are now working through a change of ownership which involves an upgrade to the HSE systems, I am currently championing the revision and the implementation of the changes to our documentation and procedures across the Maintenance and Processing teams. As a collective, the Maintenance Team has been fully involved in the review and changes to ensure the new procedures are fit for purpose.Working for Adaman has been challenging, but it has certainly been enjoyable, there is never a dull moment, always an processing upgrade to manage. Currently I am involved in the installation of a new Acacia, Vibrating Screen for the Gravity Feed, Trommel Upgrades, Tails Pumping System Upgrade and CiL tank Refurbishment.

Kirkalocka Mine

When I commenced the role of the Maintenance Superintendent/Manager there were no processes or procedures in place, the maintenance team had no tooling or spare parts, this made it very challenging and a busy time for all.2 years later, we have a fully functioning Fixed Plant Maintenance Team, a quality CMMS System that manages all fixed plant, infrastructure and village maintenance.The team has increased to 22 experienced personnel that I am Proud to be leading.

Project Manager, completed the Eastern Ridge Crushing Plant Project for the Client, BHP., Commenced a role as the Commissioning Manager for the Kirkalocka Mine Processing Plant Upgrade that was completed by Maca in September 2019. I was the lead on building the Asset Management systems for the site, producing critical/insurance and general spars lists.I then transitioned from the Commissioning Manager role to the Maintenance Superintendent role at the Kirkalocka site.

For just under 1 year, I was engaged on a short term employment contract (maternity leave cover) in a senior project management capacity where I worked on a number of different projects for Dyno Nobel This was a very challenging yet rewarding position. In this position it was imperative that I worked in a manner where I prioritised effectively, managed my time well, delegated relevant tasks to other capabilities, maintained proactivity and sought to identify project risks and then implement mitigation strategies early. Protech is a temporary and permanent recruitment service provider. For a period of a year I was contracted out by Protech to Dyno Nobel to undertake a project management role working on a number of different projects. This included working on the Dyno Nobel Lihir Emulsion Manufacturing Plant Upgrade at Lihir Island, PNG. This involved complete management of the design, procurement, shipping and logistics, customs management and PNG National labour force training and management to provide the client with a number of differing plant upgrade works. These works consisted of major plant, equipment, pipework and building upgrades/ repair, office building demolition and rebuild, critical services and infrastructure upgrades. All works were completed utilizing unskilled PNG National DNAP plant personnel. I started with Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2005, as a construction manager and quickly took on design, procurement and contract administration roles and then moved into project management/ project engineering roles. Having the ability to manage a wide range of projects and clients, suppliers and contractors and delivering projects within budget and on time had me working on a large number of Design and Construction Projects in WA, QLD, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea managing greenfield and brownfield explosive’s manufacturing and storage depot construction projects often under extremely challenging conditions in very remote areas with limited resources. My role at RJW Gas Services was as a Construction/ Project Manager and Gasfitter. At RJW we were involved in the complete fit out of commercial and retail premises, the worl=ks included installation of plumbing and gas services and HVAC services to large commercial and high rise apartments. This role was very time challenging as not only was I responsible for managing a number of sub-contractors, but had the responsibility of training apprentices whilst attending to my multiple design and installation projects.
