For just under 1 year, I was engaged on a short term employment contract (maternity leave cover) in a senior project management capacity where I worked on a number of different projects for Dyno Nobel This was a very challenging yet rewarding position. Parsons Brinckerhoff is a multinational engineering and design firm and are one of the world's leading planning, engineering, and program and construction management organizations. I started with Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2005, as a construction manager and quickly took on design, procurement and contract administration roles and then moved into project management/ project engineering roles. Having the ability to manage a wide range of projects and clients, suppliers and contractors and delivering projects within budget and on time had me working on a large number of Design and Construction Projects in WA, QLD, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea managing greenfield and brownfield explosive’s manufacturing and storage depot construction projects often under extremely challenging conditions in very remote areas with limited resources. Whilst with PB, I was a sought after resource, as I could work ‘cross team’ project managing projects for local government (Sunshine Coast Regional Council and Moreton Bay Regional Council) as well as the Department of Defence.
