During a mission trip to the Village of Hope, outside of Accra, I had the unique opportunity to work with the medical side of the campus in establishing and reviewing safety procedure and best practices. Right now the village of hope houses a community hospital, an optometrist, a dentist, and a medical laboratory. I worked with the staff there to identify potential areas of concern regarding safety in all of the aforementioned areas. In addition, I worked with them to help them organize a committee to begin to institute some safe practices in there hospital and medical laboratory.
