Responsible for the deployment of more than 30 storage area networks using a variety of hardware solutions and the deployment of central backup and restore solutions that handle more than 500 TB monthly. Managed the growth of the Central Region of this Storage Service Provider from $4M per year to more than $30M per year. Responsible for the most profitable Region and District during 2000 and 2001.

Business leader responsible for a profit center providing Year 2000 solutions to companies nationwide. Developed company methodology for Y2K issues involving embedded systems, which led to more than $10M in sales over two years. Principal markets served included hospitals, electric utilities, and media companies. Responsible for all aspects of the business, including marketing, sales, project execution, staffing and profitability. Supervised a staff of twelve project managers and twenty-eight consultants. The Year 2000 business was the most profitable business during1999 and met technical and business goals for the year.

Project Manager with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget and technical execution of projects implementing a computerized maintenance management system at an electric utility in the Midwest. Supervised project personnel who performed training and data migration services in support of implementation across multiple sites. As a Process Consultant, analyzed business processes, conducted gap analyses, and defined process and procedure changes required to implement the PassPort suite of software. Managed a client/server development project that installed a bar code materials issue system at a power plant. Successfully managed a team of three companies working to provide this leading technology that resulted in improved stockage levels and speed of customer service.

Quickly addressed the need for additional focus on business development and stronger project management of group activities. Sharpened the focus of the group to clearly defined service offerings, resulting in $2M in bookings. Provided senior project management support to projects, eliminating negative billing adjustments and increasing Income from Operations. Concurrently continued as Client Manager for Iowa Electric, maintaining overall gross margin from this customer in an environment of decreasing volume of projects.

Manager for an Information Systems group divided into three sections: Computer Aided Design, Information Technology, and Word Processing. Manager for a group of engineering and software professionals who created a software package linking database elements to CAD-generated graphics, and then used this software to convert manual drawings to CAD. Profit and loss responsibility for the group, and the projects the group performed, as well as personnel management and group technical performance. Eliminated an excessive amount of rework required on CAD drawings due to database errors, and significantly improved the overall quality of deliverables to customers. As Client Manager for Iowa Electric, closed business worth more than $500K, with an 80% win rate on proposals submitted. Started the Radioactive Waste business within the engineering group, providing support to other Pacific Nuclear organizations, and winning three new projects in the first six months.
