Datacenter Manager
CurrentActing leadership role for all aspects of technical and administrative functions of the datacenter.Consult, offer, plan, and implement technical solutions for businesses, regardless of size. These services include but are not limited to:• Email hosting, setup, management, and support.• Domain/Web hosting, setup, management, and support.• Cloud hosting solutions with management and support.• Backup solutions with management and support.• VOIP solutions with management and support.• Network consultant services, including management and support.• Managed services (all-inclusive technical support)Technical responsibilities include:• Maintain healthy operation of EMC Unity storage equipment• Maintain healthy operation of several critical production Hyper-V clustered node servers, responsible for hosting services utilized nationwide.• Ensure continued operation and maintenance of critical networking equipment: point-to-point VPNs, High-Availability & failover functions.• Acting last point in line of escalation for all internal & client technical issues.Administrative responsibilities include:• Acting manager/supervisor for our Technical Support & Web departments.• Acting hiring manager, handling recruitment and onboarding/training of new employees.• Acting project manager, handling planning, delegating, and scheduling of all aspects of projects for both internal and client operations.• Regularly met with and maintained relationships with executive level person(s) for all clients.Accounting & Sales responsibilities include:• Evaluating pricing and creating and approving quotes• Maintaining payments to 3rd party vendors• Evaluate & sell products and services based on necessity, cost, potential business impact, and potential cost-savings for the datacenter and clients.
