I have worked in customer technical support for over 15 years, at Brigham Young University, The Ohio State University, Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) and other organizations. I enjoy solving problems and helping customers with their technology needs to achieve their goals. I am experienced in Knowledge Management as well as documentation and training, having managed IT Service Desk Knowledge Bases used at BYU, OSU and Sound Transit. I am certified in ITIL v4 Foundations and have taken trainings on KCS (Knowledge Centered Service) around Knowledge Management and Customer Service.I am currently an IT Business Analyst focusing on IT Service Management processes as well as ServiceNow as our ITSM tool.I am a lover of all things German, having studied the country, its language, and culture since I was in middle school. I lived near Essen, Germany for two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have a BA in German Linguistics from Brigham Young University where I wrote my capstone paper on using linguistic principles in teaching German to speakers of English, focusing on the linguistic similarities between the languages to help students find and make connections and learn the language better.I enjoy teaching and helping others to come to understand what I know, encouraging them to continue learning on their own, while providing a structured learning environment. Questions and discussions and collaborative learning are the best ways to foster growth and understanding and allow learners to achieve their academic goals. I have utilized my teaching and training skills in developing IT training classes and materials to be used with a wide audience from various technical backgrounds.
