As well as maintaining my responsibilities as a Solution Architect within the DSO suite of products, Daniel is the EMEA North Practice Lead for Automation and Operations.Main responsibilities include:• Fulfilling general line management tasks such as timesheet approval, holiday planning and approval, expense approval etc.• Build team development plans to ensure the right mix of staff and skills to meet the business needs• Recruit, hire, on-board, retain and reward reports to ensure exceptional team performance • Ensure direct reports have sufficient coaching and mentoring where necessary, either directly or indirectly through others• Drive operational and technical best practice within the team, encouraging reuse and adoption of Agile and LEAN methodologies.• Provide regular updates to the Delivery Manager on performance of team and identification of business opportunities, skills gaps and resolution plan• Evolve the DSO practice by promoting best practice, improvements in delivery, presentation of delivered projects and capabilities to other members of the delivery organisation• Core Team Member of the internal project to redesign the Global Services Delivery/Project Methodology including the introduction of Agile processes, improvements in the delivered artifacts and communication throughout EMEA.• Regularly review revenue targets of the region and ensure that consultants are booked and resources correctly.• Review utilisation forecasts against actual bookings to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies where necessary. • Reassign resources as required to ensure coverage in all projects as required and also to assist the Pre-Sales and Sales organisation where possible.• Work with Sales, Pre-Sales and Services Sales to complete RFP/RFI requests, Statement of Work for Professional Services engagements including resource and financial estimates

During my tenure at Cap Gemini, I started as an MVS Operator, then swiftly progressed to an Operations Analyst role. This entailed compilation of the daily batch runs for the MVS Systems based on Control-M or CA-Jobtrac and providing overnight support for failures in batch to ensure that the Online Systems were available at the required time.I progressed to the Enterprise Management Team as a Consultant, primarily working with BMC and CA products.
