About Doug Kisker

I am passionate about the success of others! My diverse career path has had the common thread of leading highly complex projects, where I devote myself to the success of my team. While unconventional, my experiences include working with scientists on pre-clinical cancer research, the FDA on clinical trials, hospitals and clinicians on EMR replacement, IT Security teams on SSO & MFA implementation, and individual homeowners building fully automated personal residences. All of these areas have required a deep understanding of highly technical information in order to communicate effectively between those performing the work and those who be the final recipient of the completed project. I am devoted to continual learning. My daily life provides constant practical opportunities to grow. I frequently read on subjects such as data security, organizational effectiveness, electrical engineering, alternative & green construction methods, and how to be a more effective and understanding leader and teacher in the youth programs I volunteer for. I have navigated a small business through COVID. While sometimes difficult beyond words, I know from experience the importance of making the hard decisions. I believe life and work always have room to be improved- whether through a strategic operational pivot, re-evaluation of financials, or a direct conversation. My willingness to listen and be flexible has retained key employees, brought in new opportunities, and helped others to find meaningful connections in their own lives. While I am equally comfortable giving C-suite presentations and guiding a youth group on a mountain hike, my two genuine loves are developing and growing others through leadership and sharing experiences, and working with technical teams to bring forward their best efforts to solve problems.
