Labs consist of a mechanical system (a flywheel attached to a 24V DC motor) and ask students to preform various experiments with these systems. Tasks range from identification of mechanical properties (time constants, etc.) to designing closed-loop controllers (PID) to control the flywheel as desired.Course Enrollment: ~90 students; Lab Enrollment: ~90 students.
