• Manage financial and operational audits of UTC’s commercial, aerospace, and corporate entities to understand, document, and conclude on compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), government guidelines and regulations, and all applicable company policies and procedures• Analyze financial results and process documentation to create detailed risk based audit plan for each assigned engagement• Actively supervise teams of up to five staff, including assignment of audit responsibilities, performance of audit procedures and review of audit documentation• Provide real time coaching and guidance to staff during the execution of audit activities and complete formal performance evaluations for all team members upon completion of each audit engagement• Manage the audit staff in the identification, development, and documentation of audit issues and recommendations for improvement• Draft and present audit reports, including technical observations, required corrective actions and value added recommendations to management• Communicate the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to senior management• Develop and maintain productive team-oriented client, staff, and management relationships• Manage the execution of improper payment reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act• Participated on the internal audit work program team in the development of all financial and operational audit work programs based on evolving company & industry requirements and emerging risks

• Acting Manager on the firms’ largest client an $11.3B SEC registrant. Areas of focus included audits of the largest segment, a $5.6B multi-location consumer goods manufacturer, as well as a $1.7B security segment. Responsibilities on these segments include: ◦ Led the execution of the audit of internal controls over financial reporting as required by Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, including responses to recent PCAOB comments◦ Directly coordinate with the engagement partner to improve documentation quality and testing over the company’s cycle count process in response to an internal inspection team’s review◦ Created a testing approach for percentage of completion revenue recognition in response to the company’s change in accounting principle by working directly with the firm and client leadership.◦ Detailed review of managements testing over multiple element arrangements and sales type leases◦ Received multiple mentoring acknowledgments and on the job coaching recognition from staff and senior management• Traveled to Macau, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Poland with the audit partner to assist local teams by providing training sessions and designing procedures in compliance with U.S. GAAP as well as reviewing their final conclusions• Provided on site assistance to the EY London team by reviewing control testing over multiple element arrangements and sales type leases which included discussions with local management and re-performing their testing• Lead senior on a three year carve out audit of a $1B segment of an SEC registrant.
