R&D Responsibilities• Update parts, models, assemblies, and drawings to meet changing ANSI, IEEE. UL, CUL standards• Designed and UL tested 63kA AR Voltage transformer and Control power transformer trays and cells• Arc resistant, BIL, HIPOD Testing Design To Order Responsibilities• Create custom customer specific product designs for Siemens GM-SG 5kV, 7.2 kV, and 15kV metal-clad power switchgear (Arc and Non-Arc resistant) per ANSI/IEEE C37 standards• Areas of design include:• Enclosure designs (Sheetmetal)• 3-phase bus from 1200, 2000, 3000, and 4000 Amps• Vacuum circuit breakers from 5kV to 63kV• Ground and Test Devices (Electrical and Manual for 50kA and 63kA)• Interlocks• Voltage transformer and Control power transformer trays and cells• Current transformer cells• Custom outdoor housings including shelter-clad single-aisle and non-walk-in• Design custom transition sections between GM-SG switchgear and other products such as SIMOVAC and OEM transformers• Design Warning labels Product Support Responsibilities• Update models and assembly models to correct assembly issues• Provide solutions for field service issues
