Dan worked with administrators and faculty to leverage best-in-class technologies for engaging and connected learning. In addition to a focus on credit-earning student learning, Dan has also worked with every academic department and operations area to utilize technology for adult learning. Dan has also organized and facilitated many face-to-face professional development opportunities. Besides the direct work in the adoption and management of learning systems, Dan worked to specify and implement a highly successful 1:1 laptop program that supported over 1000 devices with a very lean crew of 4 technicians. Classroom assignments have included Biology and Environmental Science courses at 25% FTE.

A 501.c.3 organization was formed and grown to increase the grass roots capacity of Linden Hills Neighborhood residents to take control of their energy use and solid waste footprint. With real and easy sustainability actions as a goal, LHP&L has had great success. Several large community solar installations have been realized and the curbside organics recycling (commercial composting) is now being expanded citywide based on our model and success.
