Based in Max Fordham's Manchester office, I was involved in stages 1-4a across a variety of sectors and projects. I have worked on office, residential development, theatre, leisure centre, youth club, university and heritage projects such as:-Rylands Building, Manchester -Oldham Town Centre Regeneration -Swords Cultural Quarter, Dublin -Oldham Performance Space, Oldham -Moseley Road Baths, Birmingham -University of Liverpool School of Architecture -Science and Industry Museum, Manchester -Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral My role involved the following responsibilities: -Using Revit to produce layouts, schematics and schedules -Sizing and selection of mechanical and ventilation equipment-Design of domestic water services and above ground drainage systems-Estimation of electrical loads -Small power, fire alarm, access control and security design -Lighting simulation and controls specification -Utility applications for new electricity, water or sewage connections or alterations My responsibilities also extend into building physics and NZC where I am proficient in IES and engaged in:-Part L assessments -Overheating TM52 analysis-Daylight assessment -TM54 operational energy modelling -Energy strategy and proposals I was energy champion for the Manchester office which involved setting up of systems to allow estimation of energy use of our office space for annual NZC verification. Additionally as net zero carbon champion my role involved keeping up the central group in order to inform the office of the wider strategy for every project to aim for NZC.
