After graduating from the University of Kansas, I started my benefits consulting career in 1985 with Robert O’Byrne and Asso.. After 11 years six of us left to start our own agency, The Resource Group. We sold The Resource Group to HRH in 2007 expanding our footprint from being a local broker to one with a national presence. HRH eventually sold to Willis and Willis eventually merged with Towers Watson, forming a large international footprint. Each transition made us larger, but at the expense of becoming less of a part of the local community…….Therefore, I am now starting a new carrier with The Bukaty Companies, a local community based firm that has incredible service capabilities and analytical tools serviced by dynamic teams.
