Provided costing details of each part using the sheet metal costing feature within SolidWorks and highlighted parts requiring further operations after cutting e.g. folding, detailed fold drawings were produced for each design.• Compiled a full set of detailed technical drawings for manufacture, creating an outline of how each assembly and subassemblies of the moulds were to be manufactured e.g. detailing of welding, bolting and grinding.• Followed up each job during production on the factory floor and provided any further assistance needed during fabrication or assembly.• Improved time management and multi-tasking skills completing multiple jobs at a time and meeting deadlines.• Worked well as part of a multidisciplinary team daily and was also capable of working independently. • Demonstrated an organised, analytical and problem solving approach to work, and was self-motivated with a strong work ethic to help develop the team and business as a whole. In addition lean manufacturing experience was gained by observing how the design of the new workshop line reduced defects and waiting times. This increased overall efficiency as assembly times were reduced; sufficient inventory of components were always present, reducing waste in time and costs.• At the end of the work experience a report had to be written for the engineering manager further developing literacy skills.
