I am an accomplished, proactive Medical Science Liason (Health Science Consultant) with over 25 years experience in such diverse fields as cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, metabolic disease, neurology, psychiatry, and sleep medicine. I have extensive knowledge and practice of market development activities for over 20 chemical entities including orphan drugs, first-in-class compounds, and expanded indications for established products in all phases of their life cycle. My principal responsibilities included advocate development by identifying national and international opinion leaders, and initiating and developing those relationships by peer-to-peer scientific interactions with the goal of ensuring functional advocacy in support of the scientific marketing platform. Other responsibilities included serving as primary point of contact between the opinion leader and the company, submission of IISPs, gathering market and competitive intelligence, speaker development and contracting, contract compliance, and account management for assigned academic medical centers.My leadership ability has been recognized by being assigned to serve on various scientific advisory boards, coordinating preceptor training at several medical centers, revision of the training manual, serving as mentor for new MSLs, and presenting scientific lectures on selected topics in hypertension and heart failure to my peers.
