Responsible for the conduct and oversight of criminal and internal affairs/integrity investigations involving threats to the transportation network in southern Texas. Routinely called upon for difficult or complex investigations throughout the south central US (Dallas Field Division AoR). Representative to the FBI Border Corruption Task Force and responsible for liaison and conduct of task force investigations involving DHS/TSA interests. Lauded for the development of a joint-agency insider threat operation aimed at identifying and deterring insider threats and corruption. Initially launched as a southwest border initiative, this operation became a national joint-agency program. By name requested to personally brief this program and its strategic objectives to senior members of the Federal Law Enforcement Community to include Deputy Director of the FBI and senior staff, Undersecretary of Homeland Security, Administrator of TSA, senior leadership team within TSA, DHS Director of Counterintelligence, and senior members of HSI and ICE. These briefings detailed a well thought out operational plan which resulted in the entire operation being elevated to a national, joint-agency program. Repeatedly called upon by TSA HQ to conduct numerous senior-level briefings on agency investigative capabilities and strategies. Served as representative to the Department of Homeland Security Counterintelligence Working Group. Original member of TSA Insider Threats Working Group. Co-developed first ever multidisciplinary vulnerability threat assessment (MDVA) to identify insider threat issues and corruption at airports along the southwest border. Led multi-agency MDVA across south Texas which served as agency pilot program. Was instrumental in the establishment and conduct of human vulnerability threat assessments throughout TSA identifying vulnerabilities in programs. Routinely conducted program assessments within TSA and the Federal Air Marshal Service, criminal and integrity investigations, and covert testing.

Served in multiple positions as a special agent, supervisory special agent, and Special Agent in Charge (commander) during over 20 years as a reservist with AFOSI. Often called upon for expertise in counterintelligence/counterespionage, criminal investigative techniques, as well as investigative integrity reviews and oversight. Member of AFOSI reserve Protective Security Operations (PSO) team, and closed case review team.

Served as the "voice" of Department of Defense (DoD) counterintelligence (CI) training with senior members of numerous agencies through the US government. Interaction within the joint agency environment was praised as the reason for agency success within the national security structure post 9-11. Expertly negotiated with Congressional members for increased funding and resources necessary to meet the requirements of DoD training. Representative to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence detailing DoD's response to the Cole Commission and post 9-11 requirements for CI training. Developed first-ever full time position providing counterintelligence support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) at the Pentagon. Proactively identified requirements, implemented responses and evaluated outcomes. Ability to provide sound strategic objectives and results solidified joint US Air Force/OSD decision to expand support to what became a full time Special Agent in Charge detachment within the Pentagon. Served as the single CI representative to OSD for specialized CI services, investigations, and functional support. Maintained an extensive relationship with Pentagon leadership to develop the full spectrum of CI support.
