Senior Sql Server Database Administrator And Sharepoint AdministratorPeterbilt Motors Company Mar 2015 - Feb 2017Denton, Texas, UsDeveloped a T-SQL stored procedure to run archiving while part of the an engine manufacturing plant was running. In comparison, the vendor’s archiving had to shut down the entire plant. This increased the factory up time and increased revenue of the factory.I mentored developers on how to improve the performance after I found the slowest running queries. Getting this done was a major project that I lead.I am proud to say that outages due to database performance were eliminated at two factories. I use a gentle adjustment approach for continuous improvement. Server maintenance and Active Directory security. This included building new VM, web server administration, fixing operating system problems and server security. The Apriso Manufacture Operations Manager (MOM) of the Paccar factories the database was growing out of control because the vendor archiving process could not keep up. I wrote a replacement T-SQL stored procedure DBA archiving that can run with part of the factory is up. This resulted in the row counts finally going down and increased revenue by reducing the need to totally shut down a factory. This was key to running the machining section of the factory 24 x 7 so they could produce piston heads for South America factories. Ticket count reduction is something that I do by performance tuning database and developing/enhancing SSIS packages or SSRS reports. Work ETL tickets and solve the issue. When a repeating error was found the next day, the SSIS package was modified to handle that specific error. This resulted in time savings for the DBA team.Migrated databases from 2005 to 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016.SharePoint administration: Converted SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. Keeping a SharePoint server running require gentle adjustments constantly. I create new sites, answer any question from any one of 400 sites and when I did not know the answer, I could put them in touch with someone that did know the answer. -
