Duane A. Stephens, CPA has offered prompt, professional and personal tax preparation, tax advisory, and accounting services to individuals, businesses, trusts and exempt organizations in suburban Kansas City, Missouri and over a dozen states since 1976.Duane was raised on a farm in central Illinois, earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and fulfilled the requirements to be designated a Certified Public Accountant. He performed tax and accounting services with local CPA firms in Decatur, IL and Independence, MO, then opened his own CPA practice in Independence retaining approximately 90% of the clients he had served for many years. Their loyalty to him demonstrated their faith in his commitment to give them quality service and peace of mind.Duane is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. He earns approximately 40 hours per year in continuing education credits to maintain his Missouri CPA license and better serve his clients.
