Lonestar Resources, Inc. Chairman & founder, "Dub" Stocker, has a legacy of building and successfully exiting oil and gas assets in the State of Texas. Dub was a founding investor and limited partner of Stroud Energy which was formed in 2001. Stroud Energy was sold to Range Resources for $465MM in 2006. Dub then founded Fort Worth Energy and Fort Worth Pipeline Company in 2006.After practicing law early in his career, Dub joined Snyder Oil Company as in‐house counsel in the early 1980's. He later left Snyder along with the Company's head land man and formed Partners Energy, where he developed primarily oil reserves. With a softening oil economy in the late eighties, Dub returned to practicing law, becoming recognized as one of the state's finest corporate litigators, being named as a "Super Lawyer" by Texas Monthly magazine and also recognized by Fort Worth Magazine as one of Tarrant County's top trial attorneys over a multiple year span. He was a Partner in the law firm of Whitaker, Chalk, Swindle & Sawyer from 2000-2007.Dub holds a B.B.A from Abilene Christian University, achieving degrees in Finance and Economics, where he was captain of the football team and also on the NAIA National Championship Football Team in 1973, and inducted into the ACU Sports Hall of Fame in 2011. He holds a J.D. from Texas Tech University, is a member of the State Bar of Texas, a Fellow of The College of the State Bar of Texas, a Life Fellow of the State Bar Foundation, Life Fellow of the Tarrant Bar Foundation, a member of the 5th Circuit Bar Association, and is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Dub is on the Board of Directors for Bridge2Rwanda in Little Rock, AR, ACH Child and Family Services (formerly known as All Church Home for Children) in Fort Worth, TX, and Southwest Christian School, Fort Worth, TX.
