Salam Technology at Hamad Port, Doha was the Master Systems Integrator across 26 ‘Systems’ Packages. A 26.5km greenfield site, 1,400+ employees, including subcontractors on site / offsite valued in excess of 1 billion QAR + contract variations. 2 Core Data Centres, (300 Racks +) based on a GCC first, Modular Design with supporting power/ sub stations and infra structure packages that included Fiber, LAN, WiFi, and building networks. System packages included ERP, EAMS, GIS, NAVIS, IRMS, IBMS, PCS, Master Clock, Cyber Security, Network Monitoring, ++, and scope included delivery of training and support services for all Port Operations. Accountable for the operations of the PMO and responsible for managing all stages of projects; from inception to closure, monitoring project schedules for 26 packages simultaneously; tracking and managing inter-dependencies, critical path analysis, mitigating against gaps in services, resourcing and quality pressures. Working with UAE Federal Government to develop, build and operate "solutions" to create a sustainable security/transport / technology business unit across the UAE with a target revenue of 100Million Aed + in 3 years. Identify, capitalise and lead on strategic business opportunities to generate revenues for the UAE Government, secure the country and provide management careers for young Emiratis. Through my deep understanding of the upcoming trends in the Surveillance, Security and Safety and Transportation markets and underlying technologies, I was helping them to make this vision a reality. This included Traffic Management Systems and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).Projects include multiple, policing, road (ITS), aviation, maritime, port and (C4ISR) solutions across the MENA regions. I was asked to take this role to transform SecureLocate™ technology and all operational support capabilities worldwide; using real time GPS, SAT / GSM, GIS solutions with market focus on the protection of staff, clients & national critical assets (Oil & Gas facilities, transportation infrastructure, remote camps, and border points, etc) from all credible risks in high risk and high threat environments. This role was a test of my leadership and organizational skills in successfully pulling together multiple platforms, and a 24/7 Global Operations & Communications Centre, from peripheral components to be the heart and center of excellence of the business. By re-architecting the strategy and the value chain, re-defining the roadmaps and customer experience, the new products contributed to >$1M per year in additional design wins. By building a new team to architect and deliver new innovative software solutions combined with a new hardware portfolio and multi-cultural duty watch keepers, >$5M in design wins were achieved by delivering industry changing tools that plugged a major competitive gap in the product offering. Programme Manager Service Birmingham – Business Transformation★ PM for 9 transformational programme work streams with costs in excess of £500m and deliverable benefits in excess of £1 Billion over 10 Years.★ Designed and operated PMO, interfacing with Centre of Excellence and controlling all work streams.Project Manager London Congestion Charging -Scheme Enhancements★ Created business case and deployed CommerceQuest Business Process Management software throughout the London Congestion Charging call center with 500 + employees + senior management teams.Project Manager Lorry Road User Charging - Workstream Director★ Project Manager for the £1 Billion On Board Unit work stream, working to tight timescales and with several third party supplier, Siemens, Motorola, QinetiQ. Intention to build new technology to monitor all truck movements in UK and charge per mile based on time of day, route taken and distance travelled for Her Majesty Customs & Excise .★ Analysed, created, developed and integrated solution, providing guidance and procedural documentation for all interested parties.Project Manager London Congestion Charging - Implementation★ Managed snagging programs for all camera defects that were not rectified prior to go-live within the scheme. This entailed the planning & controlling of all activities across 700 sites and resources to uniquely identify, configure, optimize and record Congestion Charge Cameras.
