I was responsable, in professor Jean-Sebastien Plante's lab CAMUS, of the start up of a durability test rig of magnetorheological fluid. From the machining of parts, to the debugging of the LabVIEW program and by my participation in the meetings with the clients, I was an active member of the team. I was also awarded a fun to have project that had an automotive application of magnetorheological fluid.

At Tesla, I worked in the hardware test and analysis group under the propulsion team. I first started with designing jig fixtures for important tests and new manufacturer validation on different parts. Once I knew the place, I was given the model 3 thermal cooling system. I designed, built and tested an oil flow rig that could do many things. It had many thermocouples, RTDs, pressure sensors, flow sensors, level sensor that were use to develop the motor for the following platform.

My second internship at BRP was in the same clutch team. The project was now more advanced, I was in charge of the execution of the validation plan to be sure that the product was ready for the market. I did some Matlab programming to automate test processes with GUIs and did accelerometer signal analysis. My work gave some design improvement on the new PDrive.I also had a personal project to measure what force what needed to start an engine with a rewind. This information is useful to compare the effort needed for each engine depending on the temperature.

My first internship as an R&D intern was a huge challenge for a sophomore, but I was able to impress my team and have the opportunity of a second internship. In this one, I was in charge of the workshop staff to build the new clutches. I also did GPS signal and RPM data analysis and strain gauge validation. During this internship, I did a lot of on field trials and tests.

This internship gave me the basics on how a shop runs. I created a machine start-up procedure that improved by 75% the start-up. Once I finished the desired procedure in half the time expected, I help the production group, buying department and the health, safety and environment team.I also followed an introduction to lean conference and received the first award of the six sigma mentality from General Cable.
