Conducted confidential peer review of manuscripts submitted to GENETICS in a timely and professional manner. Provided technical and grammatical feedback on scientific manuscripts from a variety of disciplines, including developmental and behavioral genetics, gene expression and cellular genetics.

Worked on mechanisms of cranial placode specification in Xenopus in the laboratory of Dr. Jean-Pierre Saint-Jeannet in the Department of Molecular Pathobiology. Published two first author, primary research papers and won an NRSA grant.

As a graduate student in Dr. Paul's Copeland's lab, I worked on mechanism of selenocysteine incorporation in eukaryotes. My thesis is titled "Analysis of non-canonical functions of the selenocysteine-specific elongation factor."

Community building and management for about 30-40 Drexel University freshmen students living in the residential dorms. Engage in active student development and demonstrate leadership abilities in conducting building-wide and floor-wide events for residents.

I majored in Biology, and got a minor in communication, with a focus on journalism. I graduated with distinction from the Pennoni Honors College of Drexel University, which I was inducted into during freshman year.

I worked as a part of the RNAi Therapeutics team, on a project focused on siRNA delivery to various tissues to the body using LNPs. Specifically, the goal was to determine the ability of a bacterial toxin to function as a gentle cellular permeabilizing agent to assist with the uptake of siRNA in live cells and tissues, with minimal toxicity.

I served in various positions at the newspaper, starting with a copy editor and moving on to becoming a news writer. Eventually, I served as the news editor and in this capacity, managed all content for the News section, including articles and headlines. Routinely, I worked with other members of the staff to coordinate photographs and captions for this section, and wrote and copy edited news articles. As a member of the editorial board, I worked with the Editor-In-Chief in making crucial administrative decisions for the newspaper, and monitored the newspaper's membership with various press organization, and organized staff trips to national conferences on journalism.
