The international humanitarian project “Support Hospitals in Ukraine” is committed to providing Ukrainian hospitals with much-needed modern medical equipment and supplies shipped from the USA in the form of humanitarian aid. Originally started to help Ukraine’s ill-equipped hospitals provide acute trauma care for the thousands of military service men/women and civilians wounded on the front lines of the war in Eastern Ukraine, over time the project extended to support underserved healthcare fields in the country: from neurosurgery to children’s oncology.To date, the team provided $7.5 million of explicitly requested medical equipment and supplies to 18 hospitals throughout Ukraine. The project is fueled by volunteers and donors. By working with US hospitals and NGOs with surplus medical supplies, the team is able to achieve 27x return on all donations, and has nearly 0 administrative expenses.
