This is a leading engineering plastics company that serves a wide range of industrial manufacturers and products such as automotive parts, OA equipment, optical equipment, residential facilities parts, medical equipment and the like.My position in this company is a maintenance engineer which is responsible for:* Ensuring all machines which serve for production activities are in good conditions.* Setting up new production lines* Making the plan of maintaining and repairing for maintenance team.* Contacting with machine suppliers to get supports for big damages.* Ordering spare parts.* Managing and training labour safety. In addition, I also was a member of First aid team.This job gave to me a completely new experience. I had learned the way that a Japanese company manages and builds a organisation culture. Working for Vietnam Ocean Shipping Join Stock Company (VOSCO) is a wonderful period of time in my life. This is the Vietnam's biggest company in shipping area. With the knowledge which I had learned from Vietnam Maritime University and 3 months of training from VOSCO, I could undertake my job (Chief Electrician) confidently and independently.Working on ocean vessels of VOSCO carrying cargoes around the world, my duty is to ensure all electric system of the ship working in the best conditions:• Repairing, maintaining all electric equipments on the ship. • Ordering spare parts for machines under my managerial competence. • Managing all emergency and safety systems such as fire alarm, emergency power, lifeboat, etc. 18 months of being a VOSCO's employee had brought to me valuable experience. I had opportunities to go many countries, to communicate with many people from various cultures, and to work under very professional working environment. Besides, I had learned much knowledge about combustion engine, boiler system and hydraulic systems. My job was related closely to safety of the ship, cargo and the life of crew team as well. Therefore, more than anyone else, I understand that a high sense of responsibility is an important factor of an employee. I have found that I can overcome challenges to complete my responsibility in hardest and poorest conditions.
