Daily responsibilities include:Operate pallet jack to relocate racks to other testing stations according to test engineers' requests.Connect routers, switches and servers with Ethernet, Fiber optic, and power cable wiring. Gain remote SSH access to servers using Putty for Linux server administration and troubleshooting. Set up and register new racks into main computers operating on Windows Server. Connect RJ45 cables to Arista switches and configure using scripts through the Linux command line. Perform daily server racking (installation/removal/swaps) using server lift following safety protocols to avoid server and cable damages.Identify and troubleshoot power failure or defective cable problems to ensure successful server testing.Examine and maintain proper cable management to avoid excessive cable twisting, leading to internal damage.Follow strict attire guidelines (smock, ESD straps) to reduce electrical hazards and equipment signal interference.Conduct progress report 3x/day in excel format and present to test leads/supervisors.Inspect passed racks for cosmetic damage before handing over to shipping department.Communicate with team members, test leads, supervisors, and managers using Microsoft Teams to ensure smooth operation, aid in troubleshooting and problem solving.Gain access to proprietary software to perform testing duties, including status update, rack check ins and outs, position query, and automated rack testing.-----Achievements:Ensure smooth, effective, and safe handling of 30-40 racks/day by overseeing rack departure and arrival to pod.Train new technicians to perform daily duties with accuracy and a sense of responsibility using company's SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
