I am seeking a Research Scientist or Senior Scientist role within top biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. I bring expertise in molecular biology, R&D, strategic planning, bioinformatics, project management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a track record of impactful scientific contributions. My work focuses on exploring the connection between behavioral changes and brain activity using a combination of wet-lab techniques and bioinformatic analysis. This led to four peer-reviewed publications and a best oral presentation award. I have also investigated intron retention as a marker of brain-aging-induced stress in aging mouse models using qRT-PCR, Western blotting, and RNA-Seq, resulting in three key publications.Additionally, I specialize in cellular reprogramming, converting glia to neurons in the retina and astrocytes to neurons in the brain. I leverage advanced biochemistry techniques, including drug delivery, brain surgery, and single-cell multi-omics (scRNA-Seq, scATAC-Seq, CUT&Tag-Seq, and ChIP-Seq) to explore neuroregeneration.Key qualifications:Cross-functional Collaboration: Led research on behavioral and brain-transcriptomic synchronization in Betta splendens, resulting in 4 publications, including one in PLOS Genetics, and presentations at platforms like the Taiwan Society of Evolution and Computational Biology (TSECB).Project Management: Managed advanced data analysis pipelines using R and Python across various in vivo models (fish, mouse, humans), with 4 major projects on topics like fighting fish behavior, Japanese Kampo medicine, and astrocyte-to-neuron conversion.Cell Reprogramming Expertise: Applied biochemistry techniques to reprogram glial and astrocyte cells, featured in Science Advances, and received a grant from the Neurobiology of Brain Disorders Award.I thrive in environments that value accountability, adaptability, and communication. I’m excited to contribute to a team driven by determination and empathy, where I can make a difference. Let’s connect: vuductp@gmail.com.
