Business Development And Policy, Tri Borough Children’S Services

• Responsible for business analysis services for Early Help across 3 central London boroughs (Westminster, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham); this includes 30 Children’s Centres, 210 Private nurseries, the Youth Service, NEET Service and Early Years Commissioning Services• Central point of contact for the tri-borough for the provision of data and intelligence information; including 2,3 and 4 year old data returns comply to DFE requirements, and provision of termly analysis across the three councils• Direct responsibility for presenting the complex data analysis on two year old placement offers to Senior managers; I revised this new process to ensure the right families were identified to benefit from the service• Lead on Business Process change; collate, record and present key information to provide future recommendations and challenge existing work streams to ensure best practice is adhered to• Represent the Local Authority at OFSTED interviews, a pressurised meeting with Senior OFSTED inspectors• Work in close consultation with ICT to produce specification documents to improve existing processes and monitor the reporting on the Estart Children Centre database and Nursery Return system (FIS)• Led the improvement of an effective system to ensure the reporting process for the team runs smoothly; including the redesign of Excel templates to ensure the core reports are concise and consistent across the team

Performance, Planning & Improvement Team, Children’S Services

• Completed the annual Westminster Locality data profiles which displays Westminster locality and ward level information of 60 different data sets and is used by a wide range of audiences• Monitored the performance of 15 Westminster Children’s Centres using the Children’s Centres Estart database and benchmarking data• Supported all Westminster Children’s centres in completing their Self Evaluations required for government OFSTED inspections and service planning• Coordinated the annual Children’s Centres User Satisfaction survey, complete the report and analysis, and provide recommendations to Children Centres managers• Established and Chair the London Early Years Data Group, whose 20 members meet every quarter• A member of the Research and Governance Framework Panel, whose aim it is to set procedures to safeguard those involved in research undertaken in Westminster• Presented work at the London Making Data Count conference and the National Children's Services Data Conference

• Completed government data returns for the OC2 and SSDA903• Designed and distributed a monthly performance report based on PAF indicators for senior managers• Team leader on Business Objects reporting development for SWIFT/ICS database interrogation• Completed adhoc reports on LAC Trends and LAC Performance• A member of the steering group for London Information Exchange Group (LIEG)

Education Data Team

• Completed summary reports for the borough analysing school results, contextual information and targets• Completed individual end of year reports on all of Harrow’s 70 schools • Produced ad-hoc reports analysing areas such as attendance, ethnicity and pupil achievement • Completed the May 2006 Pupil Level Annual School Census (PLASC) • All reporting required an advanced use of Excel and Access in analysing quantitative data• Analysed and reported on qualitative data obtained from teacher and pupil surveys

Core Finance Team

• Assisted in the development and implementation of an Excel costing model to determine the costs for all areas and activities of the University• Collated and analysed income and costing information from the University’s departments• Ensured finance guidelines (TRAC) were followed in the development of the model• Presented information to heads of Faculties to gain approval and provided understanding of the model• The project’s aim to have a costing model in place within 6 months was achieved and a report detailing the project findings was submitted to University’s Governors

• Contributed to the design and construction of new Job Profiles and descriptions for employees• Organised external training days for Police staff and Officers• Designed intranet pages using FrontPage and was responsible for the general upkeep of the team’s website

Hackney Social Services, Fostering Team

• Designed and implemented a department-wide Access database• Developed new borough-wide information sharing systems which met new government guidelines• Analysed the team’s performance, submitted reports for Government inspections and provided recommendations to the Adoption team• Set up and monitored the team’s budget of £300,000
