I am newly-graduated (December 10, 2020) with a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Human Service with a professional writing minor. I am now working with the Georgia Department of Family and Children's Services, with the intent to pursue a Masters Degree in Social Work. I have served as a community manager and forums moderator for more than 13 years with the literacy organization National Novel Writing Month. I serve the community as the lead forums moderator for the NaNoWriMo and Young Writer's Program websites, working with adults and children.I have handled a staggering variety of issues that confront an online community. I strive to maintain a professional online persona when dealing with a community while being fair and balanced in handling any issues that may arise in the community. I have learned the importance of cultivating a positive, supportive community. I have learned to work with a diverse, complex community of people from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and seek to leverage my learning to be of service to others in social services.
