The end product was a dashboard where the bill coder could import doctors' notes and then the model would output the top predicted diagnoses so the bill coder could scroll through the codes along with snippets and summaries of the notes and medication which highlight why the code is probable, so that the user can select the correct codes.Using NLP and Machine Learning techniques, I worked on parsimonious models that have high accuracy, yet are interpretable. The model is capable of visually describing its reasoning for the decision. -
