March 2019 - March 2020 - Acted as a Subject Matter Expert on a major transformation project, helping to design and integrate a new credit application processing system into the bank. This involved working with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders including project managers, business analysts and software developers. The new system will help drive efficiencies, deliver better user experiences and customer outcomes, and help future proof the banks systems. As part of my role I presented to senior level audiences, provided input to training content, and acted as an advocate for the new system. - Deputised as Regional Credit Manager, acting as the face of Credit Risk to frontline business units. - Co-authored a new credit policy to ensure compliance with new EBA regulations. March 2017 - March 2022 - Worked in the Credit Unit, a second line of defence team within the Banks' Risk function. - Responsible for new credit sanctioning and management of larger business banking credit exposures, encompassing a wide range of business sectors and credit products including term debts, working capital facilities, finance & leasing, commercial finance, treasury products and more.- Supported business units, providing guidance on risk appetite, policy interpretation, and deal structuring. - Negotiated credit proposals in line with the banks risk appetite statement and credit policies, helping to grow a profitable loan book which is sustainable through economic and business cycles. Feb 2015 - Feb 2017- Managed two credit sanctioning teams (SME and Finance & Leasing) with 18 staff.- Contributed to policy formulation; was a member of the F&L policy consultation group.- Developed and delivered credit training sessions. Implemented a cross team training plan to increase flexibility of resource allocation. - Contributed to the development of credit automation strategies, collaborating with credit models and analytics teams.
