Profile bio

About Chloe D.

A driven and positively minded individual with an appetite to excel in my career and make an impact. I am the founder of Kosui Candle Co; a luxury-end environmentally concerned candle business. Seeking to change the relationship between candles and the environment, through formulating a cleaner, longer-lasting burn and educating my audience about the candle making process and how we shape the market to make it 'greener'. In pursuit of my drive to educate about shopping and creating a 'greener', more environmentally friendly world, I am co-founder and Community Engagement Director of Reveuse Creatives, a service designed to educate and encourage small business owners to reach their potential in extremely competitive markets, by making informed decisions about their business' next steps. I have proven experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment in delivering administrative business and customer service support through my time spent at both, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and Lancaster University's Central Accommodation Team. Support which was continually recognised as exceptional, efficient, and delivered beyond the set standard. Running two small businesses and having completed both my LL.B Law and LL.M International Human Rights Law degree's, I have instinctively refined my organisational skills and ability to take initiative. I thrive in roles which challenge me to grow, while implementing my own ideas and working within equally enthusiastic teams. I am eager about gaining a deeper understanding about what makes a business 'tick', and recognise the value found within business support and development roles to to enable me to excel in my legal career.

Advisor

Communicated with clients in a non-jargonistic manner, to understand the depths of their case and discuss their potential lines of action moving forward. Oftentimes this required me exercise my lateral thought and judgement when clients had not presented or understood all implications of their current position.Effective handling of client calls; understanding; conveying information diligently; handling third party calls on clients' behalf (e.g. Department for Work and Pensions). During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the workload was increased due to the amount of cases being made, as well as, the level of responsibility being taken due to remote working. This demanded a high level of professionalism and attention to client care, to ensure that the client was satisfied with the service and progress of their case. Heavily reliant on legal researching, to delve deeper into a clients matter and maintain that all avenues open to them were brought forward for them to make well informed choices and their case was handled diligently. Remaining adaptable and organised, understanding that cases often present as small but have a lot more to unpack and thus making the client aware of the time required to consult each issue, always ensuring that matters were dealt with in a priority led manner and efficiently.Commercial awareness due to the nature of the role requiring and understanding of issues that could impact our clients.
