Senior Project DesignerBremner & Orr Apr 2001 - Sep 2008Responsible for brief development, concept development and project delivery,projects include:· Gorilla Kingdom : a £5M enclosure for great apes with entirely outdoor interpretation includingtracking trail, field camp, themed play and donation point.· The Bullring Gallery : development and design of timeline gallery detailing the history ofBirmingham, as told through the development of The Bullring.; extensive refit of Torquay Museum's ethnographic collection. Stories ofexplorers told through the objects they collected.· Discover : design development of a story centre in East London.· Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre : development and delivery of a biographical museum andstory-making centre in existing listed stable buildings and coach house. Visitors learn about the lifeand work of the great author, then are challenged to develop their own story making ability througha number of hands on / brains on interactives.· Waterworks : the fitting of an exhibition area into a new building in northeast London lookingat the `naturalisation' of a derelict sewage treatment plant and its ultimate conversion into a naturereserve.· Cadw / Time Detectives : concept development, design and delivery of a visitor trail highlightingthe history and stories around Conwy Castle in North Wales. The challenge was to enthuse familygroups, to increase dwell time and to communicate some of the true history of the site. A `TimeDetective' trail was developed with a series of `secret' clues to unveil.· Cadw / Bluetooth : concept development, design and delivery of `invisible interpretation' -currently under trail at Raglan Caste. As visitors tour the castle, they are automatically sent free audiostories vie the Bluetooth capability of their mobile phone.

Interior And Exhibition DesignerFerguson Mann Architects Apr 2000 - Jan 2001Responsible for the design process for in-house interior design, coupled with the management and design of exhibition work undertaken by the practice. Responsibilities included interpretation of client briefs and brief development, space planning, on-going communication with clients/suppliers, researching materials / suppliers, drafting tender packages and the specification of materials / finishes. I also used the time with the practice to develop my skills in the production of Vectorworks 3D computer models for concept stage visual communication, client approval, planning applications, community consultation etc.

Self-motivation a fundamental requirement, responsibilities includedthe design and production of architectural models and one-off product prototypes. Work alsoincluded the fabrication of props for photo/advertising and the design and manufacture of interactiveexhibition pieces and museum display. Also involved in the production of half and eight scale modelsof Formula One Racing Cars for both `Williams' and `Jordon' teams.
