As a 2D generalist, Rich has designed, storyboarded, animated and directed animated projects for 15 years, standing out as an invaluable leader in the studio space. Rich has had the pleasure of working with producers at Aircraft Pictures, Spinmaster Entertainment, College Humour, Teletoon and Mondo Media.Rich's passion for animation led him to co-found Toronto's animation festival, TAAFI, in 2011.KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTSANIMATION DIRECTION:- Directed animated feature film, collaborating with Aircraft Pictures, resulting in Canada and the US to promote the film at various premieres.-Worked on various small and large productions, with Canadian and US clients.-Hands-on leader, who joins the production team from time to time, which helps Rich stay current in his skills as a lead.PROCESS DEVELOPMENT:-When faced with limited project oversight Rich taught himself complex excel formatting to create a database which enhanced the existing workflow and became a tool for all animators within the studio and allowing team leads and individual team members to manage their own deadlines.CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:-Years of experience as the main point of contact for key productions, working as liaison between animators, production manager and client. Very good at communicating project hurdles to clients and client expectations to the team, with solutions in hand.
