In my most recent experience as Site Engineer at Sierra Piling (Pvt.) Ltd where I have worked 1 year in one of the biggest elevated highway projects in Sri Lanka with project value of $440 million, I got exposed to geotechnical works, soil testing, piling construction, pile testing. There I was responsible for controlling the construction process, managing safety at a higher level, construction of board piles according to the site condition, assist the project manager to organize and coordinate the construction activities and managing and checking construction equipment. I also supported the project manager to complete the project successfully within the given time period and was able to improve my project management skills. Within the contract period, I frequently worked with Ms Project and became fluent with the software. I prepared monthly and weekly reports for the client and the top management as well.

I worked as the Site Engineer specialized in Reinforcement Engineering at International Construction Consortium (Pvt.) Ltd for one year. The project value of this project is $46.4 milliom. I was relied upon for being part of the Havelock City Phase II project in which two apartment buildings of 30-story were being constructed. In relevant to this role, I was given the responsibilities of preparing site plan adhering to the project timeline, checking and preparing bar bending schedules, design calculations of concrete elements of the structure, progress monitoring and reporting to the Project Manager, handling the documents related to structure construction work and subcontractor management and procurement handling.

During 6 months period as Trainee Site Engineer at Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau, I was exposed to road construction works and direct laboratory testing tri-axial test, particle size distribution, CBR, plastic index(PI) in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
