At this job I worked as a cashier during the school year and summer. I would usually work 5 days a week for around 20+ hours. This job has been teaching me the importance of memorizing what sells at my jobs and costumer service via phone or in person. Since I had just got gotten this job right after my previous job, I was adpating and learning quickly to the regmies of the job. I love this job and I am going to continue to work at this job during my breaks and summers. I love the people, boss, and environment.

Throughout the summer, I work as a nanny for a family I have been babysitting for about five years. There are three kids ranging from three to eight years old. Being a nanny has taught me about flexibility, as my hours depended on what their family needed. Sometimes it is a full ten-hour day or 3 hours or a week at their lakehouse. I tend to the children's needs by cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, creating fun and engaging games, and putting them to bed in addition to assuring they are always safe. This year they have a new addition to the family, a new puppy, so this is another being I care for.

The Well of Mercy is a long-term residential program that aids homeless pregnant and current parents to heal, find stability, and start building a better path forward. I work as a volunteer daycare worker every Monday for an hour. Every week looks different, there can be twenty kids or two kids who range in age I play in the basement of the residential home, providing a safe space for these kids so they are comfortable behaving like one. I ask about their day and try my hardest to make them laugh. It is so rewarding to know I am constantly making a difference in these young kids' lives.

Throughout the school year, I work at my local pizzeria called "Tortorices Pizza." I work as the lead order taker. During shifts, I am responsible for assisting customers, whether that is taking their orders or getting them their food, and making sure all areas are clean. I work after school from 4-9 pm and my boss thankfully allows me to work on my homework during my short breaks. I work weekends when I can, to help my mom with any additional bills. I have built a safe and inclusive community within my workspace to learn how to deal with different people guiding my professional communication.

The Green City Market is a non-government organization (NGO) that provides supermarkets across the city to support sustainable farms, educate our community about the environment, and expand access to locally-grown food. I volunteered in different roles every weekend for around five hours. I worked as a cashier for those with the EBT, I worked at the children's booth to educate children about the importance of fresh produce and handed out samples. I helped keep count of how many people and dogs attended to help write grants and I helped collect any leftover produce to donate towards compost.
