Collecting Latinx Oral Histories for the Diversity in Local History project

Oversaw the distribution of rental assistance funds from King County's Eviction Prevention and Rental Assistance Program's Hub and Spoke Program. Oversaw 5 staff and worked with two additional organization to distribute funds. Worked directly with low income participants to fill out and approve applications for assistance.

Studied within the Archives Center to examine how Latino Representation in Advertisement and Ephemera has changed from the 1970s to present time. Analyzed oral histories from the first Latino owned advertisement agencies to see how the socio political climate of the times influenced advertisements targeting Latinos. Worked with original ads, videos, and photographs accessed to the Smithsonian. Continued work at the Museum Support Center during this time.

Digitizing collections, object handling, photography, and rehousing. Worked primarily with Fulani and Hausa collections, objects from the Rastafarian diaspora, Japanese artifacts from the Perry Expedition and a variety of instruments for the Smithsonian’s Year of Music social media pages. Inputted metadata to photos to be uploaded onto the Smithsonian’s public and private archives. Projected and implemented plan to process and photograph over 600 items.
