Lead 13-person monitoring, evaluation and informatics activities across clinical and community health programs serving 200,000 people. Obtained 58% increase in annual operating budget. Built team from 9 to 13 full-time staff, with emphasis on capacity building.

Malawi

Directed informatics, monitoring, evaluation, and research of facility- and community-based health programs across 14 facilities serving 165,800 people. Grew team from 8 to 13 full-time staff, & led PIH Malawi's first research team. Built health information systems (DHIS2, OpenMRS) to consolidate data & automate dashboards. Developed toolkit with Ministry of Health that promoted leadership and streamlined coordination of health stakeholders that scaled across 6 districts serving 2.2 million people. Facilitated 50-100+ person meetings and workshops with Ministry of Health at district, zonal and central levels.

Boston, Ma

Established MASS’ research team and created both internal metrics and research protocols. Managed development of community-based water and sanitation system concept for informal settlement of 45K people residing in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Obtained 200+K in research awards, with applications totaling $1M+ .

Malawi

Facilitated development and implementation of 60+ key performance indicators across 12 departments and 13 health facilities. Led submission of ethics applications. Mentored Ministry of Health and Partners In Health staff in developing health surveillance systems, data literacy, research and analytic skills.

Atlanta, Ga

Supported coordination between State Epidemiologists, Centers for Disease Control, ASTHO, NACCHO and RTI to optimize and implement the BioSense 2.0 syndromic surveillance system. Assessed health department readiness to adopt BioSense 2.0. Wrote Request for Proposals and managed 9 successful state health department grant. Led CSTE’s BioSense communication, including hosting webinars, meetings, and presenting at national conferences and CSTE Executive Board Meetings.

Atlanta, Ga

Developed SAS code to analyze inspection data that synthesized 121,000 records across 15 data sets and 1,000+ variables. Co-authored Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report that included data collection recommendations from Waterborne Disease Prevention Branch. Co-authored 2nd MMWR when CDC reused my original SAS code. Supported investigation and case tracking of a cryptosporidiosis outbreak. Presented at two, national conferences and several CDC-sponsored webinars.
