Duncan Arnold is an IT professional with over 25 years experience in both private and public sector, alongside this he is also a part time professional photographer. His current full time role is Head of Cyber Security for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn NHS Foundation Trust.Duncan started his IT career in 1994 as a help desk operative within a small software development company, progressed to a software development role and then took the position of network manager. In 2004 he moved to Norfolk County Council where he spent 17 years as a a network engineer, security analyst and security architect. In October 2021 he moved into the Head of Cyber Security role within Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn.The principal responsibilities of his current role include:- Setting and implementing the ICT security policy for the Trust.- Coordinating and advising the ICT technical teams on IT security related matters.- Monitoring and responding to security threats and incidents. - Managing the Trusts cyber security team and being responsible for the Trusts cyber security compliance requirements.Recent Achievements:- Duncan actively contributes to a number of local, regional and national cyber security forums. - Established and chairs the Norfolk Cyber Delivery Group set up at the start of the COVID emergency response to appraise the Norfolk Local Resilience Forum on cyber risk.
