Accounting is my current field of study, and I am pursuing a Masters in this field in order to sit for and obtain my CPA certification. I’ve been interested in finance my entire life, and accounting is truly my dream job. I want to be able to help companies, businesses, and people with the finances to help them to understand an area that can be confusing and difficult. Right now, I am continuing with my studies aiming forward into my professional career.The field of accounting is vital to our entire culture, because it determines the safety of our financial institutions, and therefore, people’s livelihoods. My professional goal is to enter a variety of firms throughout my career ranging from local to international so that I can aid people in different areas with different needs. In my region, I would also like to open my own firm after I have gained professional experience so that I can give back to the community.My passions include tabletop gaming, volunteering, and trekking outdoors. For each of these, I feel as if I have learned translatable skills in the working world. With tabletop gaming, communication and teamwork are key to success, while still allowing for competition. It is important to me that I volunteer because I sincerely care about helping others and participating with teams that are engaging in philanthropy. My experience with volunteer work thus far is something that I am actively trying to expand and that I hope to engage in more in the future. Finally, my outdoorsy activities have allowed me to become self-sufficient while also expanding my communication skills.I hope to hear from prospective employers and to gain even more experience as my career in higher academia continues!
