I am Director of the Solartex group based in Sydney with over 25 years in the insulation industry, specialising in residential, commercial thermal and acoustic insulation installations. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique requirements and challenges associated with both thermal and acoustic insulation projects of all sizes. As an expert in this field, I pride myself on a comprehensive knowledge of product, applications and installation techniques, materials, and current building codes and regulations. I have successfully implemented thermal and acoustic solutions that effectively minimize heat, cold and noise sound transmission and create optimal acoustic environments, whether it's in residential properties, commercial buildings or large-scale projects.In the realm of commercial insulation, I have successfully delivered solutions that enhance thermal performance, reduce operating costs and create sustainable work environments. My expertise extends to large project insulation such as working with Thiess on the Building of Royal North Shore Hospital and MLC building in Sydney's CBD, and industrial facilities such as ANSTO Nuclear reactor facility, Shell Oil and Australian Antarctic - ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional results.In the residential sector, I specialise in thermal installations that improve energy efficiency and create comfortable living spaces. With a focus on both existing retro-fitting of residential properties, I have helped countless homeowners, renovators and builders including advising and supporting Architects, Building Designers and BASIX consultants to achieve optimal thermal comfort while reducing their carbon footprint.
