I am a seasoned and accomplished systems engineering leader, with over 30 years of experience across multiple sectors, including defence, rail, and information services. As the Internal Technical Support Team Leader at Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), I established and lead an in-house team of 70 systems engineering consultants, delivering high-quality support and over £60M of savings to the MOD.I am also the Technical Discipline Lead for Systems Engineering at DE&S, where I develop and mentor systems engineers and promote best practices and standards. I am a recognised expert and thought leader in systems engineering, with a passion and vision for driving successful transformations that improve performance, reduce risk, and lower costs. I am a Fellow of INCOSE, a Visiting Professor of Systems Thinking at Loughborough University, and a Senior Fellow at DE&S. I have published multiple papers on topics such as system of systems, business transformation, and performance design, and won four Conference Best Paper awards. I am an excellent presenter and communicator who can convey complex ideas in an engaging and simple manner.
